Crafty Ribbons 9th Day of Christmas Inspiration

I am here with some inspiration for our Days of Christmas event at Crafty Ribbons.
I made a tag for my presents using a ribbon from Christmas Owls collection here.
I used a kraft tag and cut away the string. I covered with My Minds Eye papers, then punched a reinforced the hole for the string using my crop a dile and a gold eyelet. I used bakers twine as my tie. I then used a 3D image I had in my christmas stash and added the Christmas Owls ribbon and strips of gold gems to embellish.

Crafty Ribbons 7th Day of Christmas Inspiration

Good morning everyone, hope you are well! I am here with my creation for day 7 of our Days of Christmas event at Crafty Ribbons :-)
For this card I used Crafty Ribbons Deck the Halls ribbon found here, Papers and James the Bear stamp from Lili of the Valley, Promarkers, Deco Art glitter, Nestabilities, Wooden die cut snowflakes, gems, papermania greeting and some lace.
I coloured James with Promarkers and added glitter accents on the white areas of his hat with Deco art glitter. I then matted him onto kraft cardstock. I made a kraft cardstock panel to fit on the card and  then covered this with the LOTV papers and the deck the halls ribbon as my border. I added some lace to soften the bottom of the card and added a sentiment over this. I placed James in the centre then added my die cut snowflakes which I further embellished using pearls and gems.

Crafty Ribbons Challenge- Penguin Pals!

Good morning everyone! Hope you are well :-) I am here with my DT creation for our 'Penguin Pals' challenge over at Crafty Ribbons!
I have been making little christmas gifts for friends and so I had the idea to alter a lovely plain glass jar I found so I used Crafty Ribbons Penguin Pals digi printed onto Crafty Computer Paper's inkjet waterslide transfer paper, and ribbon to match from the Penguin Pals range here.
I started by sizing the Penguin in serif software and printing it onto the special paper. I then varnished the paper twice and left for 48 hours.
To use I immersed the image in water for 30 seconds, and then carefully applied to my jar. It helps if the jar is a little wet itself where you want the image to be because that way the image moves easily if it needs repositioning. I then tied ribbon onto the top of the jar, and filled it with yummy chewits!

Crafty Ribbons 4th Day of Christmas Inspiration

Good morning everyone, hope you are well!
I used bakers twine which I added a bell charm to and tied it shut on the other side of the tag so it moves but not too much :-) I then used a 3D image I had in my christmas stash and added the Christmas Owls 'Joyeux Noel' ribbon.

Twine Wrapped Christmas Heart Decoration

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well! I am here with one of my little handmade presents for my friends :-)
I started with a polystyrene heart, twine, Home for Christmas ribbon and bow, gems, eye pin for jewellery making, split ring and thin red ribbon.

I used double sided tape to affix the twine to the heart. I began at the bottom-winding the twine around in a circle and moving up from there. I dabbed the start with some glue to make sure it would stay put. I wound it to the top until I couldnt wrap it round both sides anymore-I then wound twine on one side of the heart, cut then did the same on the other. I dabbed both ends with glue.
I put glue on an eye pin I use for jewellery making and plunged this into the top of the heart so I could hang it well. I then added a split ring and tied ribbon from this.

I then decorated my heart simply by using Home for Christmas ribbon and a bow, adding a little gem to the centre of the ribbon.

A Little Bit Crafty-Anything Goes but NOT Christmas!

Good morning everyone! Hope you are well :-) I am here with my DT creation for A Little Bit Crafty this time. I made a masculine Thank you card-I find men can be quite difficult to create for but these papers from Bo Bunny (I think they are called timepiece!) lend themselves well to masculine creations. I paired these papers with a vintage typewriter digi and a sentiment printed onto cardstock on paper to emulate paper coming out of the typewriter. I also curved this 'paper' around my craft knife for a realistic shape and then placed 3D foam tape under the centre of the paper so it sticks up like its coming from out of the typewriter.

I like to add this into the following challenges:

My Upcycled Bulb Christmas Mobile with Wind chimes

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well! I am here with an entry for an upcycling competition at LightBulbs Direct where they encourage to take your old bulbs and upcycle them to give them a new lease of life!
I wanted to make something really special so I decided to make a Christmas mobile with wind chimes with my bulbs as the main stars of the creation!

This year the fashion is neutral colours-twine with accents of colour and sparkle and I love that look so I used that as my inspiration.

Here are some photos of the mobile close up as its hard to appreciate from afar!
There is a little tutorial underneath so please read on if you are interested in how I made it :-)

Basically I started with twine-cheap to buy but I think a very attractive base. I used Double sided tape directly onto the bulbs glass element and began winding the twine from the top of the glass bulb and moving down, adding double sided tape as I went.
I used two types of bulbs for a different look with similar elements :-)
I apologise about the colouring in these photos-they were taken in the evening!

After they were covered I needed to work out how to suspend them. I decided to glue the twine in a loop on the metal part of the bulb, then fortify this with wire and a little more glue.
When I came to decorate my bulbs (see the close up photos in the post above) I used Crafty Ribbons Jam Pot Ribbons to cover the unsightly fixings for hanging the bulb and also to make them look pretty and give a splash of colour.
I put gingham ribbon on the candle bulbs, and polka dot ribbon on the round bulbs.
I then decorated the bulbs with a mix of wooden and felt die cut snowflakes which I added pearls or gems to. I then used a border of gems around the bulbs too.
I used two twine wreaths to create my mobile with. I used jewellery wire and lobster clasps with split rings to make it even. I then tied twine from them and chose where to put my bulbs and around these I added further decorations. I decorated the twine I suspended from the wreaths without the bulbs on with wooden snowflakes, mirrors and wooden and jute stars and again I added pearls or gems to some of these too!
I then added the wind chimes in the centre and they sound divine :-)
I really hope you like it and see how much love, time and care it took to take these bulbs and make something really special :-)
